Turkey Will Be the Greatest Super-State within the Next 10 to 20 Years - 29.04.2009 United Kingdom/Telegraph.co.uk

Jonathan Wynne-Jones, religious affairs editor of the Daily Telegraph, one of Britain’s leading dailies, reported Adnan Oktar’s views on the Turkish-Islamic Union on his blog site. The report, dated 29 April, 2009, appeared under the heading "Turkey predicted to become next super-power" and contained the following statements:

Forget China and India as the world's emerging super-powers.

According to one of Turkey's most prominent intellectuals and writers, the Muslim-majority country is poised to become the next great global force.

Adnan Oktar, or Harun Yahya as he is known by his pen name, predicts that this will happen in the next 10 to 20 years.

HE SAYS THAT IT WILL BE THE LEADER OF A TURKISH-ISLAMIC UNION that will include such regions as Mosul, Kirkuk, Turkistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan as well as all other Islamic countries.

Rather boldly, he says: "There will never be any fragmentation, but rather unification and unison.”

"TURKEY WILL BE THE GREATEST SUPER-STATE WITHIN THE NEXT 10 TO 20 YEARS."

Oktar, who claims that his most recent book, Atlas of Creation, has influenced Tony Blair, argues that the signs have already started and believes that such a development will bring peace to the Middle-East.

Oh yes, and end poverty, hunger... : "Turkey possesses a perspective and power, a mission inherited from the Ottoman Empire, that will put an end to such negativities in the region as anarchy, disorder, hunger, poverty, fear and oppression. A STATE THAT RAN A WORLD EMPIRE WILL AGAIN SHAPE THE WORLD IN THE YEARS TO COME."

Turkey and Azerbaijan Must Unite - 20.03.2009 Azerbaijan Republic/Yeni Müsavat

On 20 March, 2009, Yeni Müsavat, one of Azerbaijan’s most popular dailies, carried an interview it had conducted with Adnan Oktar.  The main subject matter in the interview in the paper, published in Azeri and enjoying an average circulation of 20,000, was the need for Azerbaijan and Turkey to unite.

Mr. Oktar said that it was easy for everyone to write to the government demanding that Turkey amalgamate with Azerbaijan, saying that we want no visa or passport formalities between the two countries, that the borders should be fully opened up and that there is no point in prolonging the issue. He went on to say that it would be a good thing for the Armenian and Azeri borders to be opened up at the same time on the same day; for example, the two borders should be opened up on a Friday, after Friday prayers, with the words “ya Allah, bismillah.” Mr. Oktar said that the economic crisis was like the flood of the Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him), that it would engulf all countries that, by Allah’s leave, the only ark that can save them is the Turkish-Islamic Union, and that only those who board the ark can be saved.  He also imparted the glad tidings that Hazrat Mahdi is already among us and will lead the Turkish-Islamic Union, and that nobody can prevent this happening.

The Turkish-Islamic Union Is the Only Answer to the Palestinian Question - 02.02.2009 Iran/Mehr Haber Ajansý

On 2 February, 2009, the Mehr News Agency, which publishes in 6 languages including Farsi, English, Turkish, Urdu, German and Arabic, carried an interview it had conducted with Adnan Oktar. (You can access the full text of the interview here.) Mr. Oktar’s proposed solution to the Palestinian question in the interview was as follows:
“The Qur’an shows the solution. Allah has shown it to us. But some Muslims are not concentrating on that solution. These scourges will always be around so long as they do not concentrate on that solution. Blood will flow in streams in the Islamic world and there will be terrible corruption. Muslims will suffer all kinds of pain and tribulations. The only solution is the Turkish-Islamic Union. … It is a sin for Muslims to be divided. It is a sin for Muslims not to unite. Muslims cannot be strong so long as that sin is still being committed. It is essential for Muslims to be united, a commandment from Allah. If Muslims unite, if they raise their desire for unification at every available opportunity, … the very subject will cease to be a problem. … For that reason, all Muslims must desire the Turkish-Islamic Union and pray constantly for it. They must seek Hazrat Mahdi (as) and speak of such things at lawful meetings and assemblies, put them on posters and discuss them in speeches. Allah will definitely bring the Turkish-Islamic Union about, and these are our prayers, insha’Allah.”
